Hello! I’m Cindy and creating my own travel accessories business is my passion and life’s work.

I love the job I gave myself and will wander the ends of the earth to see where it takes me. I am committed to create a product that will make travel lifestyle seamless and enjoyable for today’s woman of color.

I grew up in a Chicago suburban three flat home with immigrant parents who showed me hard work will bring you more opportunities. My mother was a bookkeeper & homemaker and my father was a teacher. The story of making something from nothing runs deep in my family’s history. My mother comes from a family of sewing and apparel makers from her hometown in Quito, Ecuador and her extended family includes a tourism entrepreneur.  Most of the sewing skills originated as a necessary skill for practical attire purposes while her brother and sisters went to school for medicine, nursing, education and accounting. These role models allowed me to see dreams that ignited my story within immigrant experience.

Today, I am proud to be the Founder of Ella Pocketbook to provide seamless solutions for women of color’s travel experiences. My immigrant experience as a first generation Latina  allows me to create a functional, timeless and dynamic travel bag for today’s global woman. I believe we have so many stories to contribute and numerous talents that are embedded in the fabric of the American experience. Latinas continue to be the engine of economic booms again and again. Our journeys must be shared and I am so grateful to represent a company supporting those travel stories.

Thank you for accompanying me on this journey. We are just getting started and look forward to hearing about your travel adventures as we navigate historical transformations in our society and in fashion.
